Cosy Knits for Cold Weather

It has been so cold here the last couple of days. Brrr! I strongly believe that each one of us should have a couple of really cozy sweaters in her knitwear repertoire right now. Cosy yet cool, this versatile sweaters will form the starting points of lots and lots of  looks – wear yours loose to add a boyish charm with skinny jeans or a mini- skirt for a more feminine touch and of, course, the over-the-knee boots or why not? layer it over a classic white shirt and trusty denim for relaxed weekend outfits.

Presently, I am in love with classic navy, soft greys and camels and daring burgundy sweaters. What are your favorites?

How To: Burgundy for Autumn

Burgundy or oxblood is the color of the season and the one to invest in now. Use this color in items you would not usually do: like a leather skirt or jacket, or mix and all black outfit with burgundy ankle boots for a cool and easy to assemble look. From oxblood bags and faux fur collars, to pointed flats, and chic hats get ready to make an appearance in this season’s hottest hue.

Fall Nail Color

I know the berry and burgundy hues are very popular this season, but I am in love with the grey and dark taupe nail colors. I believe they are a very stylish alternative to the reds. Whether you opt for warm mink, dark charcoal or metallic granite, there’s a color to suit every skin tone – so you don’t have to worry about the color washing you out or being boring. Wear soft grey knits and add some edge to your fingertips.

And right on time for Christmas you may want to try this nail design.

2014 Fall Color – Burgundy

Burgundy is for sure the color to wear this fall. Mix and match it in your everyday outfits or dress entirely in this color, either way you will receive a lot of compliments.

Take for instance the example of Olivia Palermo – the pencil skirt is another hit this season
