Why Exfoliating is the Secret Ingredient to Gorgeous Skin

I love a rich exfoliating, body-scrub. Exfoliating on a regular basis can improve the results of your skin care routine and help rejuvenate your skin. Whether you have dry, normal, oily or sensitive skin, exfoliation can bring new life to your complexion.

As we age, the process of cell regeneration slows down. This means that the body is slower to shed skin cells and generate new ones. When old skin cells start to pile up on the surface of the skin, it can leave skin looking dull, rough, and dry. Proper exfoliation removes the barrier of dead skin cells clogging the skin and uncovers fresh new cells below. This opens the way for moisturizing products to penetrate more deeply into the skin, which makes them more effective.

I love the products that have natural oils and organic moisturizers in them, this way they can nourish your skin and leave it super soft and smoother, gorgeous. What I currently use is the Frank coffee body scrub, which is amazing, and to all coffee lovers out there, and not only, you have to try it.

I always use this kind of products as a pre-party smoother, the tiny particles eliminate all your dead skin cells and help your body look its radiant best. Winter parties, we’re ready for you!

Products I Use : Purely Perfect

In a post I have written last week, I mentioned the special anti-shampoo I have been using for a couple of months. It is called Purely Perfect Cleansing Creme and it represents the new way to wash your hair.  Normally, I’m a huge hair product junkie, I usually try and use more products in the same time, though lately I have been using only this special un-shampoo. And I am so happy to have found it!

All shampoos contain detergent. It doesn’t matter if they are sulphate-free, paraben-free, or what they cost; detergent damages hair by stripping it of natural oils, creating frizz, dryness, and depleting color. Hair is left perpetually thirsty and dependent on conditioners to soften it. Plus, the scalp constantly produces oils to compensate, and hair can quickly become greasy.

This wash skips that first step, removing dirt and oil gently with essential oils that also smooth the hair.

Even if I knew it was not supposed to foam, the first time I used it, I massaged it vigorously  trying to force a lather. I never succeeded. Instead the Cleansing Creme worked its magic and afterwards my hair was less fluffy, better hydrated, and less frizzy.  And it is meant to replace your conditioner, too. And it does a great job.

Since transitioning to organic and non-toxic beauty products, I haven’t tested too many products from this range, but Purely Perfect Cleansing Creme is a hidden treasure. Together with the Smooth Finish and the Foundation Creme they make your hair look like you just left the hairdresser.

My hair is light waved, and with other products I had to work a lot to make it more or less curlier, depending on my mood, but with Foundation Creme and no hairdryer I had the greatest curls – after all, they do promise ‘styles that look as if they “just happened.” ‘. With Smooth Finish my hair was very well protected from the heat and it has given me a WOW volume – no hairdresser visit, I kept repeating the first time I used it towards my amazed – and, yes, a little envious- friends. I ended using both products: Smooth Finish to set my hair and then Foundation Creme to detail and add texture.

Gotta give it a try!

Products I Use: Brow Tools I Swear By

They say that eyes are the window to the soul, so make sure yours are framed to perfection by your brow. Thanks to a dear friend of mine I was introduced a couple of years ago to the wonderful world of Anastasia Beverly Hills. And, boy, do my brows look better then ever. I have tried 2 different stencils and decided together with a specialist from their salon which one is a better fit for my face shape. Then the specialist chose the brow powder that best fits me and that was all.

Super easy yo do at home and perfect for popping in your purse, look to this brow kit for precision crafted tools like tweezers, brow powders, easy-to-use stencils to customize your brow shape and fixing gels. Tuesday Tip: Klorane Dry Shampoo

Klorane’s dry shampoo is such a star! There is a long list of celebs like Gwyneth Paltrow and Diane Kruger that are using it. It’s been praised for its versatility as a grease buster, volumizer, and waterless cleanser. Year after year, it continues to outperform its rivals with its pure botanical formula. Simple and practical, this dry shampoo is my ideal go to product when I travel, go to the gym and to lomger maintain the effects of my blow-dry. Or simply when I am super lazy.
